Letterpress is a technique used to either deboss or enboss specific characters or logos on already printed sheets. It is a way of enhancing the appearance and making it more impactful at first sight. Another technique used is UV coating, which is also applied to embossed letters. This makes the extruded objects shine and catches the attention. Debossing is also known as blind deboss which can be used with ink and without ink. Many printers also prefer gold or other color foil for debossing. It gives a unique outcome, which makes the letters have a sunken appearance. You will get to see debossing on much thicker surfaces such as metal, leather, and rexine. Debossing is preferred on these surfaces because it adds depth and is easily recognizable. To make the result more interesting and artistic, letterpress and embossing are used.
