All stickers leave adhesive and mess up the surface, especially if the surface is dry and doesn’t have any lamination on it. To remove the adhesive from stickers, you can do a few things. If it is a small object, then you can keep it under water for a while. This allows the paper to become damp, and it does peel off easily. If it leaves any adhesive, you can remove the adhesive once it is wet. Another solution is using a heat gun or even a blow dryer. Once you keep the blow dryer closer to the adhesive sticker, it can make the adhesive hot, and many tiny bubbles of air gather inside the adhesive, which allows the sticker to easily peel off even if it is on a dry surface. It is recommended to use a paper-based sticker, as they are much easier to remove if you keep them in hot water for a while.
