This mockup I created has a short story behind it. Goodmockups website is a compilation of talented artists who submit their free mockups, or I choose quality mockups and share them on the website. Many times, free files are removed by the authors, or they do not wish to share for free anymore. There can be a few reasons. First, the file is being downloaded many times, and it is consuming the server resources, which the artist needs to pay for. So instead of distributing the free file, they are basically paying for the file. It can be a good step for new artists because they need exposure, and free files are a new form of advertising to share their work with the graphic designers and a similar audience.
Secondly, some files become virtual and are shared on websites and social networks; as a result, the artist’s mouth starts producing some water, and they would like the file to be purchased instead of downloaded for free. So one of the visitors of goodmockups, named “Michelle Yeun” reported that the PSD file link is no longer available for free; it could be any reason mentioned above, so I thought I would create a similar mockup and share it with her. The current file is inspired by the original artist, and I would like to give credit to Sagesmask. I have created the latest version of the Instagram ad post with my own iPhone 17 Pro mockup, and it is available for free. It will remain free forever till the website is online.
