CDs were a thing of the past, and we absolutely loved to buy albums of our favorite artists. The album art was also unique, and we had a connection between the CD and our mood. Once you spend on the CD, you have the content forever. CD then turned into DVD due to the extra storage it provided, and then Blu-ray disc came, and 100 GB of data was written on double layer at the speed of 4.5mb per second.
CD drives were taken away from laptops to give extra space to components such as the graphics card, an extra hard drive, and more room for slots to add more RAM. Coming back to CDs, they had beautiful artworks etched and carried with digipacks, which show the pictorial journey of the artist. CDs are being used by people who still like the traditional way of listening to music. They can be bought from the secondhand market and in thrift stores. Some artists still release their new albums on CDs with a digipack and vinyl.
