Flagship laptop’s lifespan are three to five years according to many experts. It is a rough estimate as many of them even survive longer. However, batteries have a fixed charging capacity such as 1000 full charges. Some laptops are intelligent enough to charge the battery to 97% and do not let the battery charge fully to avoid the number of charging. With the passage of time batteries become hotter and manufacturers designed them in a way so they do not last forever. Heated batteries can burn the components and can damage the inner part. So it is recommended to change the batteries of the laptop after 4-5 years of continuous usage or if you have heavy daily usage with many applications. Lighter usage such as emailing and chatting with friends for a few hours is a lighter usage and can increase the lifespan of the laptop.
