Chinese lanterns are quite famous; they are used for decoration and also hung inside and outside the house as a traditional element. They also have bright bulbs which lights them up, and some of them are non-electric. They date back to 2000 years to the Han dynasty and represent the culture where people made them by hand and hung them everywhere at the end of the lunar year.
In our modern time, they have changed to box shapes, and now even shop signs are inspired from it. You may have already seen the backlit cube signs, as they provide bright light in the darkness and can be seen from three angles. Similarly, vertical acrylic LED lightboxes are also preferred by many shops, as they have enough room to display text in vertical format. Many people use them as a decorative element, and they look more like an outdoor light mounted or hanging on the wall of a shop.
