We should not judge people instantly without knowing them completely. You can also say that we should never judge a situation without knowing the whole story.
When it comes to books many of them are very well-written and their title design is merely a few words or a character that is highlighted in the story. We can never know unless we read the summary of the story either written on the back or first page of the book. Most authors paraphrase their story into a few lines so the reader can understand what is it about.
