I accepted a small project of flyer design on Behance. The first question I asked the client was to provide the title, description, and body content. The client already prepared the AI-generated content and a dummy design. That was a three-page document that I was assigned to fit on an A4 page. I ended up designing the flyer with a text-rich document. It started looking like a leaflet rather than a flyer. I had to ask the client that reduce the text so I can play with the design more and make it impactful. The client reduced the text significantly, and the flyer design looks much better after my second adaptation. He reduced the body content further, and several other changes were made. There were a total of 4 adaptations, and we came to a conclusion, and the design was done in a few days. So, with the experience, I realised that if there is heavy text on the document, it is better to ask for a reduction to give room for the design. After all flyer should have a powerful effect on the reader and give a strong first impression.
