Square shapes in print documents are not used quite often as they are not available in the stationery shops. You need to buy the larger paper and ask for custom sizes. Desktop printers accept A4 and legal size but anything above 8.5 inches is not possible as they are built for international paper. If you are willing to introduce a unique size in your company then either go for a square shape or an extra length that draws much more attention than the regular paper size. If you are going to design a Z-fold then try a square shape as most z-folds are made in DL size. The square size will look much more appealing and you will be appreciated for your decision.
