Pills are usually available in blister packs to protect them from light and preserve their efficacy for a longer duration. The biggest benefit of a blister is that only one pill is supposed to come out after tearing the aluminum thick foil cover. Some blister packs are divided with a perforation so the user can easily tear the surrounding area of pills one by one and not damage the other pills accidentally.
On the other hand, pills are packed in air-tight jars and bottles. After opening the cap there is an aluminum film that needs to be removed so pills can be taken out. You need to close the cap and put the bottle in the fridge to preserve the capsules. These capsules are covered with a tight thin transparent layer so the air does not touch them after air contact. Soft gel capsules and pills are preferred for such packaging.
