Jerry can or plastic canister is a liquid container for gasoline, gear oil, car engine oil, diesel, or even kerosene. Jerry cans were designed in Germany as they were the manufacturers and utilized them in wars. Many adaptations were made after the popularity of the jerry cans and the plastic version was introduced to transport water and other liquids. Now, these gallon bottles are used specifically for engine oil for the storage of 5-liter cans and larger ones. There is a handle on the can to easily hold while pouring out the engine oil on the oil funnel.
