Some students ask me how to remember the size of a paper, or at least know which paper size is small and which one is bigger. I have a tiny suggestion that you should only know that A5 is half of A4. The smaller the number, the larger the size of the paper. A3 can have two A4-sized papers. A3 is the center fold A4 brochure size. So A5 is the smallest size to print a flyer or handout.
Flyers are sometimes folded into a bi-fold to cover all text and manage it individually on each panel. This way, many different topics or features can be covered in a small-sized paper. On the other hand, if the message is concise, then there is no need to fold the paper; a small A5 size is enough to convey the message.
