In this article, we will learn about the height of commercial signage. The standard size for the signboard is 8ft high off the ground unless there is a restriction by the traffic or development authorities of the city. 8 ft signage can easily be read and seen by the passerby and whoever drives near them. On the other hand, roadside signs can be 6 feet if they provide directions, street numbers and display important landmarks. Way findings are mostly read by the drivers and they should always be placed above 10 ft. Larger event signs and retail advertising should be placed above 12 ft. The more bigger the more higher they should be placed. When it comes to signage anything above 24 ft is not a favorable height.
