We have many different sizes of socks. They can all be differentiated due to the changing weather such as cold, humid, and hot. In cold weather, we prefer thick and long socks which can cover our legs and protect us from the cold wind. These socks provide us comfort as well as warmth. On the other hand, small-size socks such as ankle-high are used mostly in summer and humid weather where we need to protect our feet from slipping in the shoes and provide us a firm grip on the ground while playing or jogging. Socks provide us with an extra layer that helps us ease the friction and prevent the rubbing of our skin with the inner part of the shoe. As a result, it prevents blisters which normally happen when we wear new shoes or boots. For boots, you will also see some extra cushioning socks which can provide some extra comfort and protection.
