There are few ways to make them as fresh as they were bought. The first thing is that you should always read the care and dry instructions. If you do not wish to lose the natural fibers and fuzziness of the t-shirt then it is recommended to hand wash them. Use mild detergents and soak them deeply in the water especially if they have graphics on them. Make sure before washing they are inside out and after the wash soft squeeze them a few times and dip them in clean cold water. If you would like to dry clothes on the string then avoid the direct sunlight. This way you will make them look new for minimum 5 washes.
