I was born an artist and recognized the names of the fonts on the street billboards and signage at my young age. In those days, there were not too many fonts present. I used to wonder how they were made and how they were designed. I was only trying to copy them whenever I had a piece of newspaper. My father used to read newspapers, and Times New Roman was the font used on titles and also in the body text. Tahoma and Arial were used in the advertising section of the newspaper to make it look different from the rest of the newspaper, and there was also another reason for using sans-serif fonts that advertising usually has more text, and adjusting the text size and making it too small won’t break the font after printing. Script and serif fonts should not be too small due to their readability issue. However, sans-serif fonts are preferred for small text due to their perfect width.
