We bought two nylon bags from IKEA, and they are still going strong. We carried heavy groceries numerous times, and we normally do our shopping every week. They never disappointed us, and we are proud to say that we completely stopped using plastic bags. These nylon bags were used more than 500 times, and they are still in good condition. After every grocery shopping trip, we washed them thoroughly, and they look as new as they did many years ago. We do have fabric tote bags, and we use them for small shopping, but for weekly shopping, they are perfect to carry a large amount of fruits and vegetables. The main idea is not to buy nylon bags, but their reusability. It can be done with a fabric bag or even a paper bag. A sturdy paper bag with kraft paper can last for a month or even more if you do not overload it.
