There are a few important points to remember when designing a large billboard. First of all, you should know and keep in mind that billboard has only one purpose to achieve and that is building a brand and spreading the message across to a large audience. The message should be readable or the image should speak 1000 words. Keep the message short, make it 3-7 words, and be careful with the font style. Make sure you are using a sans-serif font style that can be readable from a far distance. It also has a perfect width from all angles and it can be read with just a glance. People pass the billboard at 50-100 mph and they may look at the billboard for a second or two. After designing the billboard you should see it as a viewer and imagine that you are driving and looking at the billboard for a second. If you can make an impact and lasting impression then billboard design is perfect to display.
