Advertising columns are placed on the busy streets of the city to display advertisements such as posters of theaters, movies, concerts, nights club, awareness campaigns, agendas, propaganda, or even movie posters.
Advertising pillars are known as Morris columns and they are mostly 8 to 10 ft tall cylindrical structures. Some are motorized and rotate very slowly along with backlit for the purpose of 24 hours advertising display. According to history, they were invented by German printer Ernst Litfab in 1854 and they can still be found in Berlin.
