Lighters have taken place of matchboxes and they are no longer available in the market. Matchboxes are still used in rural areas where lighters are not easily available. They are still very useful in traveling and trips. If you are planning to go out in the wild and spend your summer vacations in mountains then a matchbox would be a handy item to keep. If you are unable to find them in your local shop then buy them from amazon and get them in a day or two. One decade back we were using matchboxes to light up our fireplace as well as gas heaters and gas stoves. Nowadays, gas stoves are rare to find and electric stoves have replaced them completely.
