Embossing, engraving, debossing, foil printing, UV coating, varnishing, matt lamination, shine lamination, letterpressed, dye cut, laser cut, 3d embossing are all the techniques used to enhance the printing and give it a unique look. When it comes to extruding either debossing (which is also called letterpressed) or embossing (which is the opposite effect) is chosen. Both effects look similar to each other and can be achieved with foiling and without foiling. Foiling can add more prominence to the overall printing. Debossing is usually applied on card, leather, and rexine which is close to leather. These effects create a premium experience and can be achieved with stamping machines or a block is created for the special characters to get the effect.
