My son has turned 6 years old this June. We went to the beach and came back with his red eye, though we enjoyed the day at the beach. It was a super sunny day. We sat mostly under the beach umbrella, but my son spent most of the day playing in the water and making different types of castles. He may have touched his eyes many times, and we thought it must be some eye infection or allergy. The next day, we took him to an ophthalmologist, and he said this red eye is because of the UV of the sun. You should always cover your head in sunlight or buy a brimmed cap. Since that day, he has been using a P-cap. The doctor prescribed some drops, and after a few days eye got better.
