It has been copied and different variations are made with yogurt. Some add salt, sugar to the yogurt, and mineral water to make it a healthy choice.
On the other hand, kefir was created by Balkars and Karachays. It first originated in the Caucasus and spread around the mountainous region nearby. Gradually, it spread to Russia and other parts of the world.
