According to NASA the hole in the ozone layer has started to shrink and the restoration process may take 43 years according to the reports shared by NOAA. The hole lies above Antarctica between September and October 2022. In another report, it has said that the harmful manmade chemicals damage the layer and now Montreal Protocol has a landmark global agreement to phase out these chemicals. Due to the agreement, many chemicals have been completely stopped to be produced by the factories and this aided the recovery of the ozone layer.
