We have recently receive frew emails regarding files on our server with 7-zip that were considered not available, or some of our visitors didn’t like to download. All our mockups are compressed with either zip or RAR. Both can be opened in all types of operating systems available, and both these formats allow muliple mockups files to be compressed to half the size. RAR compression is only possible on windows and zip along with 7z can be compressed on Mac. We have also found a free utility, Keka, which can extract all types of files for Mac users. It can be used as a default compression and extraction tool for Mac. Moreover, it comes with a beautiful user interface. We use 7-Zip because it can reduce the size to 1/4 size or sometimes 1/3 size, which is beneficial for the person who downloads the file and for us, who are managing thousands of files on the server, and reduces the load significantly.
