City Light Poster (CLP) is a new form of outdoor advertising. Posters are placed in a fixed wall-mounted frame or a standing structure usually backlit to display outdoor campaigns. Before CLP was introduced, classic posters were preferred for advertising. They were pasted on the walls with the permission of the development authority and municipality of the cities. Citylight poster structures can be found near subways, mounted beside the bus stops, famous touristic locations, at the center of the roundabouts of the city as well as on the sidewalks of the famous markets. City light posters are just a few decades old and have been used in Germany since the mid-1980s and were originally seen in France for the very first time.
City light posters have many other names such as mupi, tele lights, mega lights, poster lights, and megaboard backlights. Megaboard backlits have different size in Austria i.e. 8 x 5 m. In Europe-wide they have many different shapes; some of them flip, morph, and various can be found in different 3D shapes as well. Their size in Europe is 118.5 x 175 cm portrait format.
