Many of us do not know the difference between cardboard and corrugated board. Let us clarify it briefly in a simple explanation. Cardboard is a paper-pulp or you can say hard card that is used for paper packaging as well as used for shipping boxes. They are either single-layer or double-layer sheets pasted together to make a more hard sheet. This makes them sturdy and perfect for shipping lightweight products.
On the other hand, a corrugated board or sheet is composed of a minimum of three layers. Two of the sheets are flat and one sheet is rippled or wavy pasted inside the two flat sheets which makes a perfect corrugated sheet for packaging or shipping heavy objects. These three sheets together protect the objects and make them very strong yet durable. Both corrugated and cardboard are fully recyclable.
