You may or may not have known that new mobiles are no more coming with sim slots as we are moving towards e-SIM phones. e-SIM phones are digitally connected with the carrier and they can use the same functions such as using data, making calls, connecting internet services, and sending messages. eSIM allows you to activate a cellular plan from your carrier without the need for a physical SIM. This feature was introduced due to a valid reason as many of us have multiple contact numbers and eSIM has the capability to install eight or even more eSIMs on a single device. However, many phones in the market do not support eSIM and you need to check if your phone is capable of this feature. Go to your device settings > about > status info. There will be an EID field visible which is your unique identification number that will help you to connect to the carrier. If it is not available on your device then it is not e-SIM compatible.
