It is a fact that you do not need to clean your ear canals as long as the ear is performing its duties of listening. It is quite rare but can happen in some people that the wax in the ear builds up and does not clean the excessive amount on its own. This may cause many problems such as not listening from one ear, pain in the ear, out of balance such as vertigo and ear infection. To avoid such problems you should see the ENT doctor for an ear examination at least once a year if you ever had any of the problems above, rest of the people who never had any ear problems should leave the ear alone. Ear wax does not cause any problems and they come out naturally if there is no build-up. Only lazy ears need to be checked by a professional doctor.
