We are going to share some very important information regarding the sizing of all types of projecting signs. When it comes to projecting signs, they are available in three basic shapes: square, circle, and rectangle. The biggest question arises about how much size is allowed for the street projecting sign. Sizing information and exact measurements should be taken from the municipality department of the city. It can also be asked from the local planning companies or building departments.
Projecting signs mounted perpendicular on the building elevation should not be more than 3 ft out. It is not a general rule, but it is mostly written for commercial signs in market buildings. The height should also not extend 6ft, but we have seen bigger heights than 6 feet. Wall and fascia signs mounted on the face of the building should not have more than 18 inches in depth. Canopy and marquee signs will have different rules, and they should be strictly acquired from the development authorities before making any decision.
